Emmanuel - God is with us 2

I scrambled to the telephone stand and dialed the numbers. With my hands shaking, I fumbled while dialing the numbers. Each second seemed like an hour. After making the calls, I went back to my mother. She was kneeling weakly on the floor, with unconscious Emmanuel in her arms. My mother was crying. That was the first time I ever seen my mother cried. Not knowing what to do, I just put an arm around my mother.
“Lord Jesus, why have You done this to us?” My mother prayed.
Well duh, there is no such thing as a God. Jesus was just a man who claimed to be God. Only idiots would believe in that. Now see what happened to Emmanuel.Oh wow, God is with us..yeah right. I said angrily in my heart.
“But Lord, Your will be done. I had dedicated Emmanuel to You when he was born. Do all things as You will. Thank You God for being so good to us. Amen.”
Wow. Now Emmanuel is not breathing, and you here is thanking whoever God is for that. Nice move mom.
My dad arrived before the ambulance.
On the 10th of July 2009, a few days after the incident, Our worst nightmare was confirmed. Emmanuel’s heart was malfunctioning. Besides taking handfuls of medicine now and then, Emmanuel also had to stay in the hospital for check-ups and so on. There was no cure. Our family could not afford an artificial heart. Emmanuel’s only hope of living life to the fullest was a heart transplant.
My parents told their friends at church about this. No, they were not asking for any advice of things like that. They asked them to pray to Emmanuel.
“Oh that’s terrible. I’ll pray for him. Believe this, prayer brings victory.” A friend told my mom.
“’For every time we pray, we move the hands of God’ Another friend told my dad.
They actually believed that. I just rolled my eyes.
